Each month the Rotary recognizes a student from East Haven High School's junior class. The student is invited to attend a Thursday night dinner meeting at the Twin Pines Diner Restaurant and is presented with a certificate and a check for $ 100. Winners then become eligible for the $1000 Jack Leary Memorial scholarship to be awarded at the end of their senior year.
East Haven Rotary Club honored Student of the Month recipients for the months of September and October 2022: Sherry Ragone and Melania Korenovsky. These very accomplished and hard-working women are currently in this year’s Junior class at East Haven High School.
Sherry is a member of the Science Club with ambition to become a Mechanical & Robotics Engineer. She is hoping to attend the Worchester Polytechnic Institute or CCSU and would like to own a Robotics company. Melania participates in Cross Country and Tennis and is involved in many school organizations, such as the Math League, Ukrainian American Youth Organization and Future Business Leaders of America.

Congratulations students of the month 2021
This week we honored our September and October student of the month recipients, Abby and Kayla. These young women are intelligent and hard working Juniors at EH High School. As students of the month they are now in the running to recieve our Jack Leary Memorial Scholarship, awarded at the end of Senior year.
September- Abigail Brooks for Science. Abby is the Junior swim captain, and is also on the tennis team. She looks forward to going to college to study Marine Biology.
October- Kayla Astorino for English. She is part of the Kindness Club as well as the Leadsership Council. She also has a passion for volleyball. Kayla's goal is to finish medical school and become a doctor so she can make a positive change to health care. She hopes to one day be a part of Doctors without Borders.
